WinLines is shareware puzzle game with smooth animation
and sound. Game objective is to align same colored balls in horizontal,
vertical or diagonal lines. In standard game you will start with board
9x9 squares. Each turn three new balls appears in random places and random
color. Your mission is to move balls so that there is at least five balls
in line. Aligned balls will disappear. Game lasts until all squares are
filled. You can play also other board sizes and select how many balls will
appear per turn or how much balls must be aligned before they disappear.
Moving the ball:
First you select ball by clicking mouse left button
on it. Selected ball starts to jump up and down. Then you select square
where you want to move the ball and click on it. You can move balls only
to those squares which are not blocked by other balls.
Customized game:
WinLines has six predefined games with board sizes
from 7x7 to 12x12 squares. All those games have separate highscore table
because game difficulty is not comparable. Also there is an option to define
your own board size, balls per turn and number of balls that must be aligned.
Scoring:
Scoring depends on number of balls that must be
aligned (5 in standard game). You get 2 points for each ball in line. If
line is longer than needed aligned balls (6,7… in standard game), then
you number of exceeding balls is squared and added to score sum. For example
if you make 7-ball line in standard game, then you score 7*2 + 2^2 = 18
points. In addition you get points for making several rows to disappear
with one move. This is calculated by formula: (number of rows-1)^2 * (must
be aligned balls)^2.
Registering:
WinLines is shareware program. This means that you
can try it before you decide to buy it. If you choose to buy this game
(for only 10$) select "Ordering" from "Help" menu and follow the instructions.
Depending of registration mode you choose, you will get registration code
in 2 days – 2 weeks. Without registering the game will restart at 200 points.
